Northwest Gas Company is a sister company of Inishowen Oil Company based in Carndonagh in the Inishowen Peninsula and was the first Irish Authorised Distributor for Shell. The company was founded in 1952 by Charles Kelly then followed by his sons Seamus and Sean and even to this day is operated by his grandsons, Conor and Mark Kelly.

In 1980 Inishowen Oil purchased their first gas truck, giving birth to a new company 'Inishowen Gas' now known as Northwest Gas Company. Northwest Gas supply, deliver and install LPG. LPG is the closest off-grid alternative to mains gas. LPG fuel is a cleaner, more efficient energy supply compared to that of oil and solid fuels.
